elTORO Thumb ring
In Korean horse bows, the thumb technique is very often used to draw and release the string. This is because these bows, due to their small size (approx. 50 inches) and their comparatively long extension (up to 31 inches), have a very acute chord angle, which makes normal extension almost impossible. With the thumb technique, the string is therefore extended and held with the thumb. To make this as comfortable as possible for the shooter, thumb rings made of horn are usually used.
With its thumb ring, elTORO offers an alternative made of leather that is perfect for shooting with Korean horse bows. The leather is soft enough to grip and hold the string with the thumb and yet relatively thick to protect the thumb from direct contact with the string and thus from injury.
Suitable for right- and left-handed archers.
