Description

The rental program - Would you like to try your hand at archery without investing a fortune?

Then our rental program is just right for you! For a small rental fee, you can try out archery for 6 months. If you don't like archery or want to try a different bow model, you can simply return the bow.
But if you want to continue, you don't have to do anything else, because your rental contract is automatically extended for a further 6 months. After a total rental period of 18 months, the rental bow automatically becomes your property.

So that you can start having fun with your bow straight away, all our rental bows are of course sent to you ready to shoot, i.e. including string, nock point and arrow rest. All materials are as good as new or used. They are in perfect technical condition but may show signs of use.

We also offer additional accessories for hire to match our rental bows. The optionally available arrows are purchased items and are not part of the rental offer.

CORE Gonexo - ILF - 66-70 inch - 16-40 lbs - Recurve bow

CORE's Gonexo riser is made of aluminum and comes as a classic ILF riser for beginners and advanced archers. At only 900g, it is relatively light and has everything you would expect from a sporty riser. This includes the Button and visor bushes as well as the mounting options for stabilizers and a clicker extension.

The Fast Flight-compatible limbs are made of black fiberglass laminate with a core of high-quality maple and Mako wood and offer everything you would expect from ILF limbs: good stability, excellent performance and a wide range of draw weights and bow lengths. The limbs are attached using the International Limb Fitting System (ILF), in which they are simply inserted into the limb mounts on the riser and not screwed on. This simple but innovative and standardized system allows the use of limbs from different manufacturers and does not tie the shooter to one manufacturer or the manufacturer of the riser. This means that the limbs can be quickly and easily fitted or exchanged for other draw weights or models.

Right-handed or left-handed?

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.

More information on choosing the right type of bow, the right draw weight and the right arrows can be found here: A brief introduction to archery
