The riser pleases with its appealing look in grey-brown tones reminiscent of dark chocolate. But of course it is not only the appearance that makes the Dark Chocolate riser an interesting starting point for a beginner's bow, because with its ergonomic shape and an available length of 20 or 24 inches, it not only lies well and securely in the hand, but with the appropriate limbs, also allows bow lengths of 62 to 70 inches. Due to the use of wood for the riser, it is relatively light and weighs only (approx.) 520g or (approx.) 765g. Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.

It is better to choose a slightly longer bow, as this is more forgiving of mistakes in shooting technique.

28-32 lbs. for sporty men
32-40 lbs. for active athletes

Draw weight for women:

10-16 lbs. for young people up to 12 years of age
16-24 lbs. for infrequent athletes
24-28 lbs. for athletic women
28-34 lbs. for active sportswomen

In general:
Girls tend to be 2 lbs less than boys.
Athletic, strong children tend to weigh 2-4 lbs more than petite children.

Ich habe nun als Einsteiger keinen Vergleich zu einem anderen Bogen, dieser hier ist aus meiner Sicht eine gute Wahl. Ich konnte mich sehr schnell auf den Bogen einstellen und hatte auch nach relativ kurzer Zeit gute Schussergebnisse. Ich habe den Bogen mit 34 lbs genommen, ist vielleicht für Einsteiger nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen. Aber wenn man schon etwas kräftig ist funktioniert das sehr gut.

Kleiner Fehler!

Der Bogen sieht nicht nur geil aus, er ist es auch im Einsatz. Einen kleinen Makel gibt es aber. Ich hatte 64 mit 30lbs Performance Wurfarmen bestellt, erhielt aber 28lbs Wurfarme für 64. Daher ein Stern weniger, da man auch bekommen sollte was bestellt wurde.
In Verbindung mit Fast-Flight-Sehne 12 String, schießt er sich aber trotzdem ausgezeichnet, weshalb ich auf Reklamation verzichtet habe. Bitte in Zukunft vorher nachfragen und nicht einfach versenden. Kunden merken das nämlich doch.

Überragend!!!

Ich habe die letzten Jahre mit meinem 800 Euro BEAR Super Grizzly viel Freude am schießen verloren! Zum einen war er mir mit 50lbs etwas zu schwer (der erste Super Grizzly 45lbs ist gebrochen und der 50 Pfünder ging billig her damals weil ihn kaum wer ziehen konnte) und zum anderen habe ich schlechter getroffen als mit meinem ersten Ragim Matrix für 60 Euro damals. Vielleicht waren die 58 Zoll zu extrem, am Ende wohl ein Mix aus allem, also dachte ich mir ich kaufe mir was billiges mit weniger Zuggewicht (38lbs und 64 Zoll), man wird ja nicht jünger und die Zeiten sind hart. :D Vorgestern bestellt, heute da, ausgepackt, irre schönes Holz, beim zusammenbauen wirklich dumm geschaut wie perfekt alles verarbeitet ist und vor allem auch passt! Gewinde so sauber geschnitten wie man es gar nicht mehr kennt, tolles Finish, kein Plastik, einfach WOW! Aber der Höhepunkt ist, ich schieß e mit dem Teil über Shelf wie in junger Gott obwohl die Pfeile noch nicht mal passen! Wirklich! Was ist denn da los!? Pin Bushings absolut empfehlenswert bei solchen Gruppen! Das Ding ist der absolute Hammer. Nix Preis/Leistung, das Teil ist einfach genial! Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!! (Wen es interessiert, ich habe eine 14 Strang Fast Flight Sehne und die besseren Wurfarme für 10 Euro mehr drauf) 1000 Dank!!!

Can I try out the product in person?
