The new SPHERE Thunder bolt can certainly be described as a small piece of high-tech, because the 3K carbon used for its manufacture not only gives the bolt a great look, but is also a particularly robust, highly developed material.
The unique properties of carbon make it the ideal material for the production of arrows and bolts, as the carbon fibres are characterized by extreme strength and rigidity - precisely the properties you would expect from an arrow or bolt. The orientation of the individual fibers is therefore particularly important in order to be able to withstand the forces acting on an arrow / bolt and to save weight. For shafts, the optimum direction is of course the longitudinal direction in order to withstand the tensile and compression forces that occur. The 3k carbon used in the SPHERE Thunder has three times as many fibers as normal and is therefore more robust and, with its visible structure, also more visually striking.
The SPHERE Thunder comes with a guaranteed straightness of 0.005 inch, a shaft weight of 9.5gr per inch and a fletching with 2 inch BOHNING Blazer Vanes.
