The compound crossbow Accelerator 410 is the new top model from EK ARCHERY and comes in a more modern, slim design, with an almost military look and fantastic performance data. It is designed for lovers of special crossbows. - For enthusiasts who need the speed and power to reach even the most distant targets or to survive in challenging environments.
Only by consistently exploiting the design principle of a compound crossbow, the EK ARCHERY Accelerator with a draw weight of 185 lbs reaches the maximum bolt speeds of up to 400 fps (approx. 439 km/h). The CNC milled aluminium cams (eccentric rollers) extend the string path thanks to their asymmetrical form without increasing the span of the bow and thus enable significantly higher speeds of the rebounding string itself. Nice and desirable side effects of this technology are significantly less noise and vibration, less wear, more precision of the shot and higher bolt speeds. The limbs themselves are made of hard-wearing, pressed fibreglass.
The use of high-strength and robust plastic composite material for the shaft of the crossbow ensures the slim shape. At the back, the shaft runs out in a Picatinny splint, to which the adjustable shoulder support is attached. By simply loosening two screws, this can be individually adjusted to the shooter or shortened or lengthened for greater mobility and a better balance. The Soft-Grip pistol grip with finger grooves also improves handling, is interchangeable and compatible with AR grips from the weapon range.
The rail, i.e. the part of the crossbow on which the bolt and string run, is made of lightweight aluminium. Below the rail, there is another Picatinny rail, on which the front handle is mounted and can be adjusted in length.
For the safety of the shooter and to protect the crossbow, the EK ARCHERY Accelerator is equipped with an automatic safety catch, which engages when tensioning the string and must be released before firing. In addition, the Accelerator also has empty shot protection, which ensures that the crossbow cannot be released without inserted bolts when the crossbow is stretched. The trigger is extremely precise and requires a force of less than 3.5 lbs to release.
