Disadvantages of conventional anise oil
Many hunters have long used conventional anise oil as a lure for a variety of game species. Conventional anise oil, which is a mixture of different components, has a number of disadvantages:
Anise oil is very sensitive to atmospheric oxygen, which has a detrimental effect on the attracting effect and storage stability.
The high volatility of anise oil limits its duration of action.
Anise oil solidifies at temperatures below 18°C, which means that especially in autumn and winter conventional anise oil must first be heated before it can be applied - not exactly user-friendly.
The biggest disadvantage for the hunter is the health hazard posed by anise oil: anise oil contains a secondary component with allergenic and potentially carcinogenic effects. This means that conventional aniseed oil must be labelled accordingly* and is subject to special safety measures when handled.
The Know-How behind AttraTec No 2 Anis Ultra®
AttraTec has taken up and successfully eliminated the weak points of ordinary anise oil in research and development studies. The result: AttraTec No 2 Anis Ultra. AttraTec No 2 Anis Ultra is characterised by a very intense anise smell which unfolds after approx. 1 minute and lasts for a long time. The attracting effect starts immediately and lasts for a long time. The intensive and long-lasting effect is based on protective molecules taken from nature, which strongly slow down the degradation of the active ingredient by atmospheric oxygen, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the volatilization of the active ingredient is slowed down by a depot former. The formulation of AttraTec No2 Anis Ultra as a liquid aerosol and filling in spray cans not only increases user-friendliness at low temperatures but also improves storage stability.
Simple and safe application - high yield
After 1-2 short sprays on the target surface, the can is turned upside down and sprayed again briefly until no more liquid escapes. Of course also on the target surface. The contents of one can are sufficient for 75 to 100 applications.
And - most importantly - by eliminating the questionable secondary components of the anise oil, AttraTec No 2 Anis Ultra no longer poses a health risk to the hunter.
