EK ARCHERY Accelerator 370 - 185 lbs / 370 fps - Compound Crossbow
The compound crossbow Accelerator 370 is one of the latest models from EK ARCHERY and comes in a more modern, slim design, with an almost military look and fantastic performance data. It was designed for lovers of special crossbows. - For enthusiasts who need the speed and power to reach even the most distant targets or to survive in challenging environments.
Only by consistently exploiting the design principle of a compound crossbow, the EK ARCHERY Accelerator with a draw weight of 185 lbs achieves the maximum bolt speeds of up to 370 fps (approx. 406 km/h). The CNC machined aluminum cams (eccentric rollers) extend the string travel through their asymmetrical shape without increasing the span of the bow, allowing for significantly higher speeds of the recoiling string itself. Nice and quite desirable side effects of this technology are significantly less noise and vibration, less wear, more precision of the shot and just higher bolt speeds. For the limbs themselves, durable molded fiberglass is used.
Finally, the use of high-strength and robust plastic composite for the crossbow's shaft ensures its slim shape. At the rear, the stock extends into a Picatinny rail, to which the adjustable shoulder rest is attached. By simply loosening two screws, this can be individually adjusted to fit the shooter or shortened or lengthened for greater mobility and better balance. The soft-grip pistol grip with finger grooves also improves hand-grip, is interchangeable, and is compatible with AR hand grips used in firearms.
The barrel, the part of the crossbow on which the bolt and string run, is made of lightweight aluminum. Below the barrel is another Picatinny rail, on which the front grip is mounted and can be adjusted in length.
For the safety of the shooter and to protect the crossbow, the EK ARCHERY Accelerator features an automatic safety that engages when the string is cocked and must be released before firing. In addition, of course, the Accelerator also has an empty-shot safety that ensures that the crossbow cannot be released when cocked without an inserted bolt. The trigger is extremely precise and requires a force of under 3.5 lbs to release.
