The JACKALOPE Flint riser is perhaps the most mysterious looking stabilised wood riser you have ever seen. While the innovative stabilised wood - a highly stable combination of several layers of wood and epoxy resin - gives the grip its characteristic look with clearly visible layers and stripes, the Dark Brown colouring gives it the look of a classic, banded Flint stone. In Deep Black, the flint becomes something mystical and hides its grain almost completely under a matt black look. Each riser is unique and emphasises the personal individuality of each shooter.
The flint stone is not only one of the most important healing stones, it was also used in the Stone Age to make tools and weapons, and in the Middle Ages it was used to produce a spark for flintlock rifles. This also led to the colloquial term "flint". This "fire" rests in the stone, it is said to strengthen self-confidence and give new vigour. It grounds its wearer and creates an atmosphere of calm and serenity. This makes the flint a more than fitting namesake for this handle.
