This aid holds the string for you while tensioning the bow. You tension the bow with the loop wrapped around your wrist instead of your fingers.
With a Back Tension Release, the shot is released by the archer building back tension. If the string is extended far enough, the release will release the shot without the archer having to pull a trigger.
Whoever becomes accustomed to using a Back Tension Release can release the shot in one fluid motion under back tension, thereby escaping gold anxiety and being able to execute his shots consistently.
Because a Back Tension Release is triggered depending on the angle of the release to the bowstring, it must be adapted to the needs of the archer.
In the Longhorn Hunter Release, the handle is designed to be held with 3 fingers.
The bowstring is held on an open hook by means of a loop, this makes hooking the loop very easy and can be done without looking, instead you can keep your eyes on the target.
To preserve the bowstring and minimise its wear, you should only use the release in conjunction with a loop, ie, the release should always be hooked into the loop and not directly onto the string.
The handle and the loop are connected by a rope, which makes it easy to adjust the length to the individual needs of the archer. The loop is fixed to the wrist with a buckle fastener.
Included in the scope of delivery are replacement rubbers for the thumb rest.
