elTORO Nubuk - Holster Quiver
The holster quiver is the more compact spin-off of the side quiver and therefore extremely practical. The pocket for the arrows is relatively short, but offers enough space and support and the advantage that the arrows protrude slightly higher out of the quiver and the shooter can grip them better.
But elTORO has also thought of smaller accessories for the Nubuk holster quiver and has provided it with a spacious, attached pocket that is closed with a rubber band. As a special feature, the buttons are made of real bone material and form a small contrast to the brown nubuck leather.
What is nubuck leather?
If nubuck is normally made of calf or cowhide leather, elTORO uses buffalo leather for the Nubuk range. This is more robust and durable than cowhide leather and has much coarser pores. A characteristic feature of nubuck leather is its rough, velvet-like surface, which is created by sanding the top layer, i.e. the grain side. Even though it is still not clear where the name "Nubuk" for this type of leather comes from, it is presumed that the type of processing is also responsible for this. In English, the optically similar suede is called "Buckskin" and the form of processing brings to light a new, artificially created surface, which was presumably called "New Buck". In the course of time, the "Nubuck" or "Nubuk" of today was created.
Probably the biggest advantage of nubuck leather is its breathable property, which is achieved by roughening the leather, i.e. "opening" the pores. Another noticeable advantage is the pleasant wearing comfort of this soft, cuddly leather. Both characteristics together predestine Nubuk leather for the use in archery.
