Hunting Bolt | SPHERE Thunder 3K Bodkin - Carbon - 16-22"
The new SPHERE Thunder bolt can be described as a small piece of high-tech because the 3K carbon used for the manufacture not only provides a great look of the bolt but is also a particularly robust, highly developed material.
The unique characteristics make carbon the ideal material for the production of arrows and bolts because the carbon fibres are characterized by extreme strength and stiffness - especially the characteristics you would expect from an arrow or bolt. The alignment of the individual fibres is therefore particularly important in order to be able to withstand the forces acting on an arrow/bolt and to save weight. With shafts, the optimal direction is, of course, the longitudinal direction in order to withstand the tensile and compressive forces. The 3k carbon used in the SPHERE Thunder has three times as many fibres as normal and is, therefore, more robust and with its visible structure also more optically conspicuous.
The SPHERE Thunder comes with guaranteed straightness of 0.005", a shaft weight of 9,5gr per" and fletching with 2" BOHNING Blazer Vanes. The point used is a X-BOW FMA Bodkin point with 100gr or 125gr, which penetrates deep into the target due to its special shape of the point, known from hunting points, with hard edges and flat surfaces.
