X-BOW JAG II - The Evolution of a Recurve Crossbow
Not everyone succeeds in making good things better. X-BOW has succeeded! The Jaguar II is a successful, respectable successor to the popular Jaguar crossbow. X-BOW has, however, taken a completely new path and developed the JAG II from scratch. The result is a recurve crossbow in a significantly more modern design, with an almost military look and fantastic performance data for this price class.
The new JAG II is much slimmer and lighter. This is made possible by the use of high-strength and robust plastic composite as the shaft material. The rear section runs out in a Picatinny rail on which the adjustable shoulder support is attached. By simply loosening the screws, the crossbow can be individually adapted to the shooter or shortened or lengthened for greater mobility and a better balance. The pistol grip also further improves handiness, is interchangeable and compatible with AR grips from the weapon range.
The barrel, i.e. the part of the crossbow on which the bolt and string run, is made of lightweight aluminium. Below the barrel, there is another Picatinny rail on which the front handle is mounted and can be adjusted in length.
The limbs are made of hard-wearing, pressed fibreglass, from which X-BOW takes the higher pull weight of 175 lbs and with which the impressive bolt speeds of up to 260 fps (approx. 285 km/h) are made possible.
For the safety of the shooter and for the protection of the crossbow, the X-BOW JAG II has an automatic safety device, which engages when tensioning the string and must be released before the shot and of course also an empty shot safety device. This ensures that the crossbow cannot be released without inserted bolts when the crossbow is stretched.
