Length from

The length of an arrow is always measured from the beginning of the shaft (without the point) to the nock bottom, i.e. the point of the nock at which the string lies.

- With the option "Length from shaft end", the actual arrow is therefore approx. 0.5" longer than selected,
as the distance between the shaft end and the nock, the bottom must be added to the pure shaft length.
The total length of the arrow is thus about 0.5" longer than the highest length selectable here.

- With the option "Length from Nock bottom" the actual arrow corresponds to the selected length, because here the pure shaft is shortened so much that the desired length is reached at the nock bottom.

The Protector Ring is a sleeve which is glued onto the shaft at the front and back and covers the shaft to approx. 1cm.

Nette Alternative zum Traditionellen

Optisch kommen diese Pfeile dem traditionellen Flair, welches ich bevorzuge, schon recht nahe. Stabil, customisierbar und absolut tauglich! Benutze diese Teile für die haarigen Schüsse im Training - wenn vor meinem geistigen Auge schon die Holzsplitter fliegen ... ;-)

Mein Lieblingspfeil!

Eigentlich der beste aller meiner Pfeile, einen Schuss gegen eine Betonwand (wie auf dem berüchtigten Video) übersteht er allerdings ohne ein anderes bzw. besseres Insert oder Spitze nicht.
2x daneben geschossen, den einzigen Stein in der Nähe getroffen (gleich 2x) - einer aufgepilzt, beim anderen das Insert verbogen (Pfeil o.k.).
Da das aber wenig mit dem Pfeil selbst zu tun hat und ich mir schon wieder Nachschub bestellt habe 5 Sterne.

Gute Pfeile, leider mit geändertem Design

Ich schieße die Pfeile in 32 mit meinem 28 ibs Langbogen. Obwohl der Spinewert für diesen Bogen nicht optimal ist, fliegen die Pfeile gut. Begeistert bin ich auch von der Pinnocke, die einen schnellen Nockenwechsel im Felde zum Kinderspiel macht.

Leider ist das Design der Pfeile von Goldtip geändert worden. Man bekommt jetzt nicht mehr einen wirklich klassisch aussehenden Pfeil mit unaufdringlicher schwarzer Schriftfolie. Man geht es in Richtung Kitsch und bunt, mit blau und weiß und abgebildeten Indianerfedern. Kann man hübsch finden, muss man aber nicht.

beste Alternative....

...zum Holzpfeil für mich persönlich. Für meinen Kiowa 45# hatte ich Holzschäfte aus feiner Zeder oder Kiefernspalten angefertigt. Um einen entsprechenden Spine zu bekommen wurden die Teile recht massiv im Durchmesser fast 10 mm vorn nach hinten leicht getapert mit bis zu 530 grain Gesamtgewicht. Bei Fehlschüssen Brennholz, einer ist mir sogar auf dem Shelf beim Abschuß geplatzt, und glaubt mir, ich verstehe was von Holz und Handwerk.
Der Goldtip Traditional und der XT sind daher für mich vom Flugverhalten ähnlich bzw. vorteilhafter, etwas flacher und schneller, aber immer noch wie ein traditioneller Holzpfeil. Zudem alle gleich in Gewicht und Spine und sehr robust.
Über das Design des XT lässt sich allerdings wahrlich streiten ;-)
Ist mir aber egal, die Schäfte sind super.
