Description

The best of both worlds! - The JACKALOPE Red Beryl Hybrid Bow.

Do you love modern bows with a traditional design and want more colour for your handle? Then the JACKALOPE Red Beryl is exactly what you are looking for! An elegant, one-piece hybrid bow that convinces with its optics and performance. For example, Teknowood was used in an attractive handle. This innovative material is a highly stable combination of several layers of wood, which makes the unique look in exciting Bordeaux and classic black. The limbs, on the other hand, are made of bamboo and clear glass, the light wood tones of which represent a beautiful addition to the handle

Individuality also played an important role in the naming of the new Red Beryl bows. If at first glance the name "Red Beryl" can only be associated with the colouring, the importance that has always been attached to the rare rock "Red Beryl" explains much more: it stands for strength and dynamism! - So is there a better name for a bow?

Of course, it is not only the optics and the name that captivates; but also the finesse of this type of bow - the hybrid bow - quickly convince! No wonder, since it combines the best of both worlds: At first glance, you may recognise it as a traditional longbow, where for example the string only touches the tips but not the limbs, but at 64" it is a bit too short to be a "real" longbow. However, the missing size catches with the typical feature of a recurve bow, the clearly visible Reflex-Deflex-Form in the limbs, again and thus skillfully addresses the characteristics of a long and a recurve bow together. The result is a compact, forgiving bow with a particularly soft extension, very good draw performance, optimum arrow speeds and an almost complete reduction of vibrations in the grip.

SPEED - Carbon for even more speed

In the speed versions, the JACKALOPE Red Beryl is now even faster! An additional layer of carbon improves the already good-natured characteristics of the bow. It makes the bow more forgiving and provides a narrower more accurate hit pattern when shooting. But how does it do that? Quite simple: Due to the carbon inlay, the limbs are not only lighter and more distortion-resistant but also about 10fps faster.

Right-handed or left-handed?

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.
