DRAKE Mongolia Bow - 48"- 18-30 lbs - Horse Bow
The horse bow was originally developed in Asia. The most well-known folks are
probably the Huns and Mongols, who have already used this primal type of bow for
centuries. The horse bows were made to be shot from horseback, as the name
suggests. After all, space is limited while riding and the rider has to be able
to move in order to survive or hunt successfully. This almost perfect bow was
then also used worldwide throughout history and other folks as well developed
their horse bows, which did not really distinguish themselves when it comes to
basic function, but they still are individual types.
The Mongolia
Bow by DRAKE is a modern interpretation of horse bows. While from the outside it
certainly loos like a horse bow, the construction does not really have a lot in
common with the prototypes of this bow type anymore. The bow is made of
fiberglass-reinforced plastic and consists of two parts, which means it can be
disassembled. Therefore it requires a lot less space than common horse bows. The
two bow parts are put together and form the ergonomic riser that can be used
with both the left- as well as the right hand. In addition, the riser is wrapped
with leather in order to make it particularly grippy.
Suitable for
left- and right-handed archers.
