Length from

The length of an arrow is always measured from the beginning of the shaft (without the point) to the nock bottom, i.e. the point of the nock at which the string lies.

- With the option "Length from shaft end", the actual arrow is therefore approx. 0.5" longer than selected,
  as the distance between the shaft end and the nock, the bottom must be added to the pure shaft length. 
 The total length of the arrow is thus about 0.5" longer than the highest length selectable here.

- With the option "Length from Nock bottom" the actual arrow corresponds to the selected length, because here the pure shaft is shortened so much that the desired length is reached at the nock bottom.

These two terms sum up the properties of BEARPAW's carbon shaft Traditional Extreme in a nutshell. In an elaborate manufacturing process, BEARPAW has provided its proven and durable Penthalon Hunter carbon shaft with a paper-thin wooden shell made of ash. The Penthalon Traditional Extreme is extremely difficult to distinguish from an actual wooden shaft. In addition, the wood surface of this carbon shaft can be finished with varnish, paints and crestings, just like a real wooden arrow.

Extrem haltbar.

Zuerst war ich bezüglich der Lebensdauer dieser Pfeile etwas skeptisch, muss aber nach etwa zwei Wochen intensiver Nutzung sagen, dass es absolut unbegründet ist.
Die Pfeile wurden jetzt ausgiebig auf verschiedenen Parcours und auf der kleinen Bogenbahn im Garten getestet und sind dabei auch oftmals im Holz gelandet, was sie alles problemlos weggesteckt haben. Man sieht am Holz nahezu keine Spuren, zwar ist die Holzbeschichtung etwas anfällig für Schmutz und Staub, aber einmal mit einem feuchten Lappen drüber gehen und schon sehen sie aus wie neu. Was mir persönlich besonders gut gefällt und so ziemlich der Hauptgrund war, wieso ich mich für diese speziellen Schäfte entschieden habe, ist das relativ hohe Eigengewicht, dass einen sehr ruhigen, gut verfolgbaren Pfeilflug zur Folge hat. Ihr Geld sind sie jedenfalls absolut wert. Ich werde sicher noch einen Satz kaufen.
