The springbok (Antidorcas
marsupialis), native to South Africa, belongs to the gazelle species. When they
are on the run, they are characterised by their high leaps. The gazelles
sometimes jump simply out of sheer joy. In the rainy season, huge herds form,
often mixed with other antelopes or zebras.
